It started with a cool picture from the Aftenposten Innsikt, all in blues. Got that purple-ish ballpoint as a giveaway during a seminar in Copenhagen, it looked like a good match for the tint. I was keen to see the building of values in hatching. It takes time but it's a Zen thing, like building a bicycle wheel. You get into it and float away from the world.
The original drawing is A4-size, works out Ok I must say. So much for fancy inks and pens and so on. Give me a Bic.
If anybody knows how to stop Flickr to resize everything to 1024 pixel with a rather lame compression algorithm, let me know.
