Work finally progressed!
At last, getting to the end of that one. Long overdue, it was meant for Andreas'birthday (4 months ago that is). Work gets into the way, av og til.
Still need a few touches, I'll post a better picture (or scan) another day.

Underground New York Public Library
Have a look at the Underground New York Public Library, a project from the photographer Ourit Ben-Haim, collecting images of the NYC Reading Riders.
A side remark, since then I started noticing how few people are actually reading books in public around here, at bus stops, airport lounges, ferries or in the Jærbanen. Mostly reading magazines and being busy with their phones. Quite a striking difference when I remember my commutes in and out of Paris.
Maybe the commutes are too short here. Or they have time to read at home.
Yes, it's an excuse, I haven't made any half-decent drawing in ages.

Where I found again that Moleskine paper (the sketchbook ones) isn't that keen on wet colors and doesn't resist anything if remotely humid. Annoying.

Stavanger Sykehus
Not been posting much lately. Haven't been drawing much either. Part of the reason is we haven't fully recovered yet from Andreas'trip to the hospital a couple of weeks ago. More worries than danger but it still comes out as a rather straining experience.
Apart from his ongoing passion for tractors, after being "stabbed" 17 times for allergic reactions, Jr picked one item from the toys drawer, a shiny bracelet. But he got a tour at EIK Senteret this last weekend - in our parts of the world there is no better way to spend a Saturday morning - and got to sit in a huge Massey Ferguson.

Un autre candidat!

It started with a cool picture from the Aftenposten Innsikt, all in blues. Got that purple-ish ballpoint as a giveaway during a seminar in Copenhagen, it looked like a good match for the tint. I was keen to see the building of values in hatching. It takes time but it's a Zen thing, like building a bicycle wheel. You get into it and float away from the world.
The original drawing is A4-size, works out Ok I must say. So much for fancy inks and pens and so on. Give me a Bic.
If anybody knows how to stop Flickr to resize everything to 1024 pixel with a rather lame compression algorithm, let me know.

Bin tiens, princesses et fées nous voilà! Donc un château dans le beau et grand cahier de dessin de Caro pour un coloriage. Et A4 ça devient vraiment ric-rac sur ce scanner, mais je serai fort. Je ne cèderai point comme disait le chêne, je ne craquerai pas pour un scanner A3. Non, vraiment. Non.
Tiens, nous ne sommes pas le 6 Février. Dont acte.
